OUR ACTIVITIES
At Rotaract, every mission is more than just an activity—it is a meaningful step toward creating positive and lasting change in our community. As young leaders guided by the values of service, fellowship, and personal growth, our members actively engage in community service missions that uplift vulnerable groups, leadership and professional development events that strengthen our skills and confidence, and collaborative meetings with Rotary and global Rotaract partners that expand our network and impact. We also take part in cultural, social, and educational activities that inspire personal growth and lifelong friendships. These experiences not only allow us to serve others, but also help us grow ourselves, becoming better leaders, better teammates, and better citizens. Below, we proudly highlight some of our most unique missions and signature initiatives that reflect the spirit, passion, and commitment of our members. Food Bank Project
Since 2022, our Food Bank Project has been an ongoing initiative dedicated to supporting people in need within our community. Through this project, we distribute not only food supplies but also essential daily-use items, helping families and individuals meet their basic needs. A special focus of our efforts is on Cyclo drivers, who often face daily financial challenges, and other vulnerable groups who rely on small sources of income to survive. Over the years, this project has reached many people, bringing relief, hope, and a sense of care to those who need it most. It reflects our commitment as Rotaract members to serve others while fostering compassion, community, and solidarity.
Days for Girl
The Days for Girls Project is designed to support women and girls who are in need, have limited access to education, or face special challenges. This initiative not only provides essential hygiene products but also empowers participants with knowledge about menstrual health and personal care. Through interactive education sessions, we teach women and girls how to take care of themselves during their periods, promoting both health and confidence. Each participant receives a care package that includes reusable sanitary pads, soap, and other essential items, helping them manage their menstrual health safely and sustainably. This project is made possible with generous support from Rotary Club Peninsula 2.0, whose sponsorship allows us to reach more women and girls and provide them with the resources and education they need. By addressing both practical and educational needs, the project fosters dignity, awareness, and empowerment, giving women and girls the tools and confidence to take control of their own well-being.
Oral Health Education and Hand Hygiene
The Oral Health Education, Hand Hygiene, and School Support Project is one of the most distinctive and impactful initiatives of our club, dedicated to promoting both the health and education of children in rural areas. Many of these children face limited access to essential health knowledge and educational resources, which can affect their overall development and future opportunities. Through this project, we provide thorough oral health check-ups, apply silver diamine fluoride treatments, and use fluoride varnishto prevent tooth decay, emphasizing preventive care rather than treatment. Alongside dental care, we conduct interactive sessions to teach children proper hand hygiene and personal care routines, helping them understand the importance of cleanliness for maintaining overall health. In addition to health education, we support their learning by distributing essential school supplies, including books, pens, pencils, erasers, and donated workbooks, primarily targeting primary school students. By integrating preventive health care with educational support, this project empowers children with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to thrive. It not only fosters healthier habits and improved hygiene but also encourages learning, builds confidence, and creates a lasting, positive impact on communities that need it most.
Warm Project
The Warm Project is a heartfelt initiative dedicated to supporting individuals and families in need during the colder months of November and December. Each year, our club collects and distributes second-hand jackets and warm clothing to vulnerable members of the community, ensuring they stay protected and comfortable during the chilly season. A special focus of this project is on Cyclo drivers, who often work long hours outdoors and are particularly exposed to harsh weather conditions while earning their daily livelihood. By providing these essential items, the Warm Project not only helps safeguard the health and well-being of those in need but also demonstrates the spirit of care, compassion, and solidarity that defines our Rotaract community. Through this initiative, we aim to bring warmth, comfort, and a sense of support to those who need it most, fostering stronger connections within our community and making a tangible difference in people’s lives.
Engaging with our Parental Club Project
Our Rotaract Club maintains a close and supportive relationship with our parental Rotary clubs, including the Rotary Club of Phnom Penh Central and the Rotary Club of Phnom Penh Capital. Through regular meetings and mentorship sessions, these clubs provide invaluable guidance on the Rotary-Rotaract network, project planning, and execution protocols, helping us understand the proper steps to design and implement meaningful initiatives. Their support goes beyond advice—they generously contribute financial resources, manpower, and moral encouragement, enabling our members to carry out projects effectively and reach more people in need. This partnership not only strengthens our operational capabilities but also inspires our members to uphold the values of service, leadership, and community engagement. The mentorship and collaboration from our parental clubs are instrumental in shaping the growth, success, and sustainability of our Rotaract activities.
